I am just so delighted to see Kathryn Bigelow win. What a milestone, and look what it saved us from tonight.
In all seriousness, I hope this sort of nomination and win may become much more commonplace.

Terrific!!!! The Hurt Locker was brilliant, saw that one in the theater, and I hardly ever see films in the theater anymore. Quite a milestone. Nice of the Academy to acknowledge that girls can actually, you know, do stuff that men can do.

It's true, I always sort of resent the insinuation that war films can't resonate with women.
